Prosper Rotary Club American Flag Program

The Prosper Rotary Club has been building a Flag Lease program over the last several years. If you are unfamiliar with it, the club leases a 3’x5’ flag, mounted on a 10’ steel pole, placed and anchored in your front yard on patriotic holidays.  They assemble, store, and maintain the flags. The enrollment cost of $50 benefits the Prosper Rotary Foundation, which works locally to help those in need, provide scholarships, and training young leaders. You can learn more by visiting or by clicking flagform2012

Please note that the Rotary Club needs to have at least 10 participants per neighborhood for this to be viable.

Windmill Playground Needs Your Help

Stone Creek HOA is supporting our community by helping to build Windmill Playground in Prosper, adjacent to Frontier Park. You can be a part by donating money and/or time.

On Thursday, February 23, 2012, the Stone Creek HOA Board of Directors voted and approved a $250 donation of HOA funds towards playground equipment. Most of the playground equipment is more expensive than one family can donate and we are asking interested residents to add their donations to the HOA donation for one or more larger components in the name of the Stone Creek HOA.

Already, three residents have pledged funds to bring our total donation to $900. As we reach new levels here’s what we can accomplish: Read more of this post

Catch the Prosper WAVE

Water conservation is now a critical component of life in Prosper.  Although the drought in North Texas as been lifted, our water supply is still very much in danger.  Lake Lavon is still well below normal, and the zebra muscles in Lake Texoma are limiting that key source of water.  There is a high probably that we will enter Stage 4 water restrictions this summer – that would mean no watering of grass.

Due to these issues, and to help keep our water price low in the future, the Town of Prosper is needing to see a reduction in water use by 10%.  That is a 10% reduction of the current winter use levels.

To learn more about how to lower our water usage the Town has put together a new web site called WAVE (Water, A Vital Element).  Click on the logo to learn more.
