Windmill Playground Needs Your Help

Stone Creek HOA is supporting our community by helping to build Windmill Playground in Prosper, adjacent to Frontier Park. You can be a part by donating money and/or time.


On Thursday, February 23, 2012, the Stone Creek HOA Board of Directors voted and approved a $250 donation of HOA funds towards playground equipment. Most of the playground equipment is more expensive than one family can donate and we are asking interested residents to add their donations to the HOA donation for one or more larger components in the name of the Stone Creek HOA.

Already, three residents have pledged funds to bring our total donation to $900. As we reach new levels here’s what we can accomplish:

  • $1,000 – Frontier Facade
  • $2,000 – Rock Climbing Wall
  • $2,500 – Misters
  • $3,200 – Therapeudic Swings
  • $3,500 – Tire Swing

If we raise at least $3,000, our HOA name will be included on the contributors’ wall as a permanent part of the park. Again, the funding for the playground is being done totally by the community and sponsors, and will have a lasting effect on our community.

The deadline to commit to a donation is March 13, 2012 so that the funds can be turned over to the Fundraising Chairperson of the project and the purchases made.  Fill out the form at the bottom of this post to make your commitment.  Checks payable to “Windmill Playground” with Stone Creek HOA in the memo line and drop them off to Cindi Koehn, HOA Secretary, at 620 Creek View Drive to be added to our total donation.


The playground is a community build project – including the actual build.  Stone Creek HOA plans to send a volunteer team of our residents to work on this community service project during the build week of May 14th – 19th.

Volunteers of all types are needed; labor, food services, clean up, anyone! No experience required – there’s something for everyone even if you don’t wield a hammer. The only thing you need is a desire to help.

The Town of Prosper is fielding the volunteer time slots, and currently the most needs are at the beginning of the project during the week. They do request that all volunteers be over the age of 13. Please add your name to our list of volunteers no later than March 30, 2012 so the effort can be coordinated with the Volunteer Coordinator of the project.  Fill out the form below to join the team.
